Yes, the chemo kills all my B cells and keeps my GPA from rearing it’s ugly head. I also take steroids and methotrexate. I have RA and Lupus also. The chemo helps all 3.
I get two infusions every 6 months two weeks apart. So I’ll have one We’d and two weeks later another.
Last year I was doing so well the Dr thought I could skip one. That’s when I came out of remission and this last year from hell started. GPA causes the small and medium veins to get stopped up with granules and I ended up with the pulmonary embolism last January that very nearly killed me. Bill Mitchell has the same thing as me, unfortunately he’s having a difficult time still.
I had home health and physical therapy for 2 months. Am finally off of oxygen (mostly) and no longer need walker or cane.
God is good! I will never skip the chemo again!
