Chris Wallace’s overt defense of Joe Biden throughout the debate on Tuesday night was so obvious, so blatant, he should be proscribed from ever “moderating” a debate again.
Wallace’s performance was as Biden’s protector, his advocate, and that is undeniable. He stepped in at every moment Biden seemed lost: court-packing, lack of support of law enforcement, and Hunter’s criminality.
The debate was so poorly managed. The questions were designed to aid Biden, to coddle him. No wonder Trump felt duty-bound to interrupt. Trump was debating both Wallace and Biden and only one of them is sentient.
Wallace’s intent was clear – sabotage Trump. Wallace succeeded only in looking like the stooge he is.
Why a two-minute rule? That hardly gives either man time to rebut what was just said about him. Wallace even brought up the Charlottesville charge but did not admit it was a manufactured lie without giving Trump the time to deny the lie.

Do we seriously think Chrissy Wallace would've let that happen? Wallace was there to help Biden. If Trump hadn't interceded, Biden and Wallace would've done all the talking.

Chris Wallace lost the debate. He was constantly badgering, correcting and arguing with Trump and then tossing to Biden with reverence.
As far as Trump vs. Biden, given Biden’s refusal to denounce Antifa or Court packing I’d say Trump will win the economic and Law and Order vote and our senate races can be run on the pack the court issue.

A good point. Biden can barely string two coherent sentences together. Trump never gave him a chance to show how unable he is to speak at length coherently. Give Biden room to ramble and lose himself next time.
In this instance “graciousness” is weakness. So many are so worried about not being “gracious”. Don’t they understand what civilization is up against???
but, Biden inserted FBI Wray statement about Anitfa being an ideology. That is what people will remember.
Pres. has been dealing with NC misquote for couple years now and he really should have what he said that day memorized and automatic reply. He failed again on correcting that constant charge from the media.

Childish. When the questions are basically “have you stopped beating your wife?”, he has no obligation to stand there like a good little schoolboy and answer anyway.

Worst of all, he called the DC protests peaceful and berated Trump for clearing the rioters away and holding up a Bible at the church (not noticing that they tried to burn it down)
Bullshit.. he was best to flip the finger at those idiotic questions. They were absurd. The Biden question on race was to tell a lie about Charlottesville and for Biden to explain how that motivated him to run.
He didn’t ask Biden about his Logan act scheme. He didn’t ask Biden about the lack of a peaceful transition since 2016. He didn’t all Biden to disavow antifa. He didn’t ask Biden about BLM being run by Marxists and having ending families on their website. He didn’t ask Biden about the green new deal. He didn’t ask Biden why voting in person is bad since he just did so.

AGREED! MUCHLY! The wife, a very successful debater & debate coach, noted BiteMe’s addressing the camera as a good technique as well as disliking PDJT’s interruptions; so, I was inclined to view the President’s performance negatively. As the event WORE ON with chrissy’s approach and skewed questions (who cares about the green new deal at this point?) BiteMe lost what was left of the facade.
No doubt the President’s interruptions pushed it; but as it was four years ago, he pushed enough without going too far.
It was interesting that Wallace made a point of saying (paraphrase), "I have not shared my questions with the candidates". This was a subtile statement. What he failed to say was, ""I have not shared my questions with ANYONE."
It was obvious that Biden was given the questions before the debate, likely througe a Wallace surrogate. Can you say Donna Brazille?

I think what he said was "I have not shared my questions with the two candidates." I interpreted that as "I only shared my questions with one of the candidates". But it might also mean "My assistant knew the questions and gave them to Joe's assistant." Either way, I think it's clear that Wallace helped Joe as much as he could.
Yep - when your questions include assertions that are wrong you’re trying to frame the debate. It was awful.

Biden was never going to drive off the cliff on his own. Wallace was making sure to keep him on the road as handlers on the ear piece fed Joe talking points. You think Biden’s performance was bad remove the ear piece and see how much worse he is even with Wallace helping. The dementia has him in its clutches and Trump knew Biden would have feed in his ear and the aid of Wallace.
