When Grassley opened hearings on Kavanaugh, I think it was the first day, the Dems angrily made a motion that the hearings be immediately closed. I told my son: he should have agreed and immediately called for a vote - for which he had a majority.
Had he done that all that filth that the 'rats vomited out of their corrupt brains would have been avoided {remember they consistently accuse their opponents with the horrors that they themselves are guilty of.} There are SCOTUS judges that did not undergo hearings - back in the days when Dems were demonstrably human beings.
Graham is making a stupid mistake unless he plans to immediately shut down the hearings when the filth starts pouring out. We need to remember that the Grassley hearings were almost at a conclusion when DiChiFi threw her stink bomb into the proceedings and it was obvious that what followed had all been planned - with the MSM screaming like a flock of offended crows.

Once out of committee, anything goes.
But...the Majority Leader (ML) can describe HOW the questioning and discussion is done on the floor.
The ML can also keep members of the House away from the floor during debate (gallery and cloak rooms).
