Not likely. Shroom fairy rings are caused by an underground mycelium that originated at a point, and grows outward. When it produces the fruiting bodies...mushrooms...theyre at the margins of the mycellium. Still really cool, though.
Yeah, they’re kind of like Aspen trees, that are all part of one underground system, and ‘trees’ pop up all over the place.
This year was lousy for Morel hunting, but we almost always have a bounty of Golden Oyster mushrooms. I love anything mushroom-related. :)
