OK you MIL-Geeks.
Which of the branches have/use LOSBR?

The turbine of a modern jet will digest a single anything naturally airmobile made of meat. While they may return out of general safety and prudence if there was serious damage Id be intrigued...

I did not know that. Interesting point.
I do know that the blisks which are fan bladed parts, are very important and if bent, can cause problems. If one is dropped in an engine repair facility, they must be scrapped/majorly reworked.
I’m still stuck on the submarine depth issue - 50 feet vs 50 meters (yards for us normal people).
Trying to think of a reason that 50 feet might be chosen. People in the water, either launching an assault craft, or retrieving someone/something. Just high enough to get the tower up out of the water and the deck just below, poised for a fast dive as soon as the hatch is closed.
Or maybe to get people on top to get a better visual of the area.
Submerged obstacle, perhaps? Mines? Reef?
Just spitballing...
Any FReeQers going to the TRUMP Rally in Middletown, PA???
PM me to meet-up.
Pretty much everyone in one form or another.
And dont forget that one of the sons-Don Jr. I think had problems with a helicopter more than once. In fact, I think his wife was with him, and she also received a packet of fake ricin. Seems like she might have been scared off or something?

I HAD forgotten that, greeneyes!
It would be very interesting to know and understand her back story about the decisions she made when they split up wrt to the ricin thing.
I’ll likely be in bed, hopefully asleep. I’m driving about 575 miles tomorrow, so I want an early, well-rested start.
I have a small Q sticker on the back window, balancing the O sticker on the other corner. It’s subtle, though here in Tennessee, they seem to notice the O right away. They got their roll tide, I got my O-tide. :)
Damn straight. Gotta watch out for those Auburn people. Roll Tide. But seriously, he seems like Swamp material.
LOL - my co-worker, a BIG Alabama fan, is beside himself - his son got a scholarship and will be attending Auburn. That’s the equivalent of a kid from Columbus going to Michigan!
I teased him a little, but I kept it gentle. Everyone has their breaking point.
“Im still stuck on the submarine depth issue...”

Not really...50 Feet too shallow (called a “Broach”) gives your position away to no advantage. 10-15 feet deeper would be preferable. If the “Clam Shell” and access were open at that depth, a wave would bring a LOT of water into the “People Tank”.
50 meters (over 150 feet) too deep for scuba release.
Note: I was a diving officer on Submarines
I shall defer to your knowledge. My submarine knowledge comes from watching “Run Silent, Run Deep” 2 million times, along with a few watches of “Red October”.
I do work with a couple of submariners though - one was on the USS Archerfish. Had a friend who has since passed, that served on the USS Alabama (the sub).
I guess I’m just intrigued by the post.

This always pumps me up:
Crimson Tide Speech
What a great photo! Not a job I could do. I don’t do well in confined places lol, so thank you!
Petey
Very stealthy!
Always proud of their service. Seems that the nuclear navy guys congregate to the power industry. Usually in nuclear plants, but a lot in operations also. Which is where I reside.
Great one. I haven’t checked PM in some time, need to get back in the habit (was busy with getting ready to evacuate fire and then recuperating from same).
