HOLLYWOOD, Fla. — This was a virtual nightmare for educators and parents.
Officials in a South Florida school district are investigating after students in an online science class were exposed to a live sex act on their screens, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
According to the newspaper, Thierry “Ted” Victor was teaching environmental science at McArthur High School in Hollywood on Sept. 2 when he saw the live video, according to a letter he sent to administrators.
As Victor viewed the Microsoft Teams video conferencing session, he said he saw a female performing oral sex on a male, according to the Sun-Sentinel, which obtained a copy of the teacher’s letter to school administrators.
“For the first few seconds, I did not recognize what I was looking at. I was frozen with fear, anger, disillusionment, confusion, and a broken spirit, all at once,” Victor wrote. “The class became chaotic in no time. Audible, yet semi-unintelligible, collages of laughter, profanities, along with several students pleading for this virtual assault to stop, caused sheer panic.'
Victor said he was so stunned, he ended his class early, the Sun-Sentinel reported.
According to his letter, Victor said did not know the identity of the girl on the screen, but said a student in his class identified her as a student in the Broward County school system. Victor added he believed two male students in his class shared the link that allowed an outsider to enter the Teams meeting.
Reached by the Sun-Sentinel, Victor declined to comment.
School administrators immediately reported the incident to the district’s information technology department and its special investigative unit, district spokesperson Kathy Koch told the newspaper. Investigators determined that the incident was not the result of hacking.
“The school’s leadership continues to investigate the matter to identify those involved and is reviewing security protocols to prevent such incidents from occurring in the future,” according to a statement from the school district. “Any student who displays inappropriate material or behavior is subject to disciplinary consequences.”
I taught high school long ago, about 40 years ago. If this teacher thinks the students are not having sex, he .just be the most naive person on the planet.
His students may be great but that doesn’t mean they are not doing it.

Maybe this science teacher is not a veteran teacher yet...I don’t know if a teacher, who has taught for at least 20 years, would react the way this science teacher did...

Actually, I think that in a few years this sort of thing will not be the result of a prank, but an actual part of the curriculum. The left seems to be moving in that direction, and who would dare say, “It can’t happen here”?
If this fella is acting this way as a high school teacher, he cannot seriously be expected to cope with or handle students at this grade level. Better for him to go teach a kindergarten class.

As Conservatives we know that sex-ed classes do more harm than anything and it should be left up to parents. Porn is not acceptable school fare. It's not something you'd expect to see.
Secondly, the story states that the girl is a HS student at Broward. Did she know this was being streamed? What will this do to her?

The “cool” thing about Microsoft Teams is that it is liver video/sound only. There is no messaging and no way to not have your video on. You can put something over your camera, but you are still showing as a dark/black video feed.

No wonder it took him awhile to turn it off. This guy sounds more like a philosophy guy instead of a science instructor.
There is a similar problem with Zoom. It defaults to audio and video being “on,” but you can turn them off.
I found this out on an early Zoom call I had with a 3rd party on behalf of my company, where we had never used it. I realized after 15 minutes they had been seeing a video of me way off center the whole time as I talked or listened.
I can’t stand Zoom or Teams. Huge privacy risks.
WHEW! It was just two people doin’ the nasty and not something truly egregious like a student showing off an AR15. THEN all hell would’ve broke loose.

Sounds like a perfectly normal reaction, if Thierry is a fag.
Not to mention the fear that accompanies being involved with minors being exposed to minors having sex. Not something I want to be in the same zip code with.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d prefer to see all government schools abolished completely. They’re a gigantic waste of money and produce either future prisoners or deranged moonbats ready to carry on a Stalinist agenda (and the rest of us who survived that system, such as myself, were left deeply scarred).
My comments, however, were explicitly about this particular teacher who apparently is such a delicate daisy that he cannot comprehend high schoolers would engage in such ribald hi-jinx. His comments were hysterical, more appropriate and descriptive were he watching incidents like Saint George Floyd’s state funeral. He is way out of his element as he obviously cannot handle this grade level.
As for the porn show, obviously the participants should be punished. I’m guessing the girl knew she’d be on the 2020 version of “Candid Camera” meets “Deep Throat.” She chose poorly, as many teens are apt to do. But let’s be honest here, this stuff goes on all the time. It’s an example of our debased culture, learned from an equally debased Hollyweird (and our politicians).

I've been on the receiving end of that a few times and I've never experienced any of those at the time.
