For you wonderful folks that enjoy fabric; spinning, weaving and cloth.
A link to my (youngest) daughter’s artistry.
It is the last entry in this “salon” called “Fruition”.
The story is included.
The effort started at the raw fiber stage - spun, woven conceptualized and constructed by my daughter.
It culminated in the classic dress she models.

Very classy and beautiful fabric, well fitted and so flattering. You should be proud. What a feat!
Tencel is a very intereting fabric. Beautiful dress. She spun tencel?
It culminated in the classic dress she models.
Beautiful daughter and beautiful dress! What a wonderful skill to create something so pretty. Thanks for sharing!

Oh my! Please give your daughter my compliments and applause! That fabric is fabulous and the pattern is perfection in showcasing it. My own taste is simplicity in pattern showcasing fabulous fabrics.
I also note that FLOTUS seems drawn to the same idea. Classic, simple patterns showing a focus on the fabric. Since many of her fabrics are used to make a statement the construction of the garment must not subtract from the fabric.
Yes, I’m a fabric nerd. I don’t spin or weave but I do love to create from lovely handmade/handdyed yarns. During last week’s days of rain (which kept me out of the garden) I finished a sweater that I’m currently calling my masterpiece. It’s from hand painted merino-silk. GMTA - my colors are very similar to those your daughter used. She’s AWESOME!!!

Wow! A timeless yet show-stopping dress. Your daughter’s extremely talented.
That dress is beautiful. Your daughter must have a hell of a lot of patience! Please pass on my (non-weaver) compliments.
That is really stunning and beautiful.
Thank you for sharing and you definitely are a proud papa
Don’t know a dern thing about it but your daughter’s work is clear the best in that gallery at least, just stunning. I have great admiration for people who can visualize such things and then have the skill to turn them into reality. My artistic “talent” is limited to regular polygons and primary colors ;-)
Beautiful pieces. Thanks for sharing, Cletus.
Awesome dress, Proud papa!
Absolutely beautiful.
Talented pretty girl.

You should be so proud!
