NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has explicitly told teams to go out and sign Colin Kaepernick.
Goodell made the surprising admission earlier this week, during a conversation with Mike Tirico on NBC.

It’s obvious this guy Goodall has lost his mind. Pity.
No, but he has ways to sweeten an offer. Remember when ESPN and the rest of the media swooned over the "first openly gay" player? He kept falling in the draft until Dallas claimed him in the next-to-last round, avoiding countless columns and commentaries claiming the league "hates gays".
I'm sure Jerry Jones called Goodell and asked "how much is it worth to you to take this PR headache off your hands?" The commish probably gave them an extra supplemental draft pick or forgave a suspension or something else was bartered.
It's the same thing with Kaepernick. In fact, I'm surprised it hasn't happened yet, although it may have (he had tryouts) and he supposedly wanted too much money to sign. I think Kaepernick doesn't want to play because he makes more money from Nike just being a martyr for his race.
Hey, Goodell, hire him yourself to wash your car, clean your swimming pool and do other chores around your house. He might even be qualified to take your garbage cans out to the street for pickup.
As house butler.
As house butler.
Surprising how easy they have made it to remove pro football from my life.
Have not wasted any time on their product for a couple of years now.
And with every decision Goodall makes I feel even better about that.
Actually it was the St Louis Rams, and wouldn't you know, a year later, the league allowed them to move back to LA.
I thought part of the Kaepernick issue remaining (from the last 18 months) was that he had to be assigned as a starter?
What he should have done at the end of high school, was proceed to the baseball scholarship and made his way into pro baseball.
Give in to terroristic threats and you get more terroristic threats. Get ready for this to become the norm of contract negotiations.
Do they get a first round draft pick with him? Of course, it goes without saying, if Colin is the QB they will get a top a top pick...but I meant another one for tanking the season.
I bet Rogers ‘girlfriend’ could use a ‘pool boy’...
Did he identify which player should lose his spot because of it?
This POS played a huge role in the destruction of the NFL
If they do that, they’ll be discriminating against a more talented young kid out there, who will lose out on a career in the NFL, just so they can give in to a POS ingrate.
Sign him as a hydration specialist (water boy).
That was my thought when I read the title for the article.
bogus headline ... clickbait ...
Those are decisions that each individual owner has to make, and their club, their coaches, their General Manager. And Ive talked to a lot of our clubs about it. And so Id encourage them, and Id love to see him play again.
Ive encouraged teams to evaluate that and sign him if they feel thats the case, he said.
Im happy if Kaep gets an opportunity but thats, you know . . . Teams dont usually ask me for advice on football hires.
That conversation has happened many times and Ive encouraged them to do that. . . . We had a tryout where 26 clubs came to watch him try out last year and so that was the kind of effort to sort of say, Listen, if you want to continue your career, heres the opportunity.
[yeah, that’s the tryout that colon refused to go to ... so i’m sure that endeared colon to those 26 clubs]
