The initial wave of NFL ratings for Thursday night’s season kickoff have arrived, and the preliminary numbers are down for the NFL. However, the event was the most-watched sporting event since the Super Bowl, and only the second show since the Super Bowl to exceed 20 million viewers. (The Academy Awards in February averaged 23.9 million.)
According to Deadline, the Kansas City-Houston game initially rated a 5.2 among adults 18-49, the key demographic for advertisers, and boasted a preliminary total of 16.4 million viewers. At the moment — ratings are adjusted upward as more reports roll in — that’s a 16.1 percent drop from last year’s kickoff between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears.

Fox pressed the issue very hard to generate viewers. Fox and Friends was a Kansas city rooting section. Brian Kilmeade the old time sports guy had a few words but was up staged by a real coach. They drug out a coach to be worshipped and followed into the NFL sanctuary for the worship service later in the evening.

You have no clue how many have died, how many are truly sick from it or anything else because the statistics being relied upon are screwed up all to hell and back. Sure, a vaccine would be nice to have, good insurance for the vulnerable. But the rest of this kabuki theater is nonsense. If it truly worked we would be done with it. There have been mask orders for months now and apparently we still have “thousands of new cases everyday!”
Yeah, I was hoping nobody watched. Officer Tatum, Jericho Green (don’t watch if you are offended by bad language), and the Hodge Twins all have great videos on youtube about this nonsense. Finally somebody else asked the obvious question - how long does this continue? Until there are zero incidents of supposed police misconduct? Only if blacks are involved? Because police will always get into it with suspects and many will be black, so this kneeling crap must go on forever, right?
People should be proud of our country that there are so few incidents of police behaving badly, because it shows that almost all police are honorable and that the US cares about justice and will prosecute cops who do bad things. You want “perfect” police where there are zero incidents (reported) of police misconduct? I’ve heard that is the case in N. Korea and Communist China. Police are not perfect, but then neither are people in any other occupation.
What I find hard to believe is how dolts like Herbstreit keep repeating the lies. Do they really not have the ability to find the facts before they go blubbering on TV? This crap is about to send me back on high blood pressure meds.

Why would any self respecting “persons of color” want to receive special treatment that discriminates against white people? Are they that afraid of a merit based society like Martin Luther King pleaded for?
All other factors being discounted, why watch three hours of program to see less than 15 minutes of actual play? The rest of the time is made up with re-plays and re-plays of the re-plays and seemingly endless supplies of commercials. Tournament chess broadcast in Russian is more exciting.
The sad truth is that many blacks hate whites. You can see that by all the violent attacks on whites and it’s getting worse.

Lol, you have a point. I would often DVR college games I wanted to see and fast forward through all the ads and downtime. You’re right - there is probably less than 2 hours worth of action in a 3+ hour game.
Now, I’m not watching any sports. I’m wondering when “wokeness” will hit curling. :-)
SECOND on Officer Tatum and the Hodge Twins. Hodge twins are hilarious. All should be watching them and spreading it on FB!
