“These tribesmen sound xenophobic.”
As I included the tribesmen in a story I wrote I read a couple of books and articles on them. Anybody who goes anywhere near them is flirting with death. They have zero points in common with the rest of us and anything you are wearing is something they don’t have. They will kill you for your pen knife. And it’s easier and safer for them to just kill you rather than bargain. They would not think twice about doing it. Nor would they feel badly afterwards.
Sounds like Seattle’s CHODE ZONE
The protected nature of these tribes notwithstanding it would not be terribly difficult to dissuade them of such sentiment. They believe themselves to be the masters of there destiny. They believe that only because we are playing falsely with them.
I bet none of the tribes, from Alaska to the Tierra del Fuego ever had a case of “post-traumatic stress” as, in their world, it was good to kill. Brought up your social standing in the tribe.

I dunno. Somehow I think Kevin Costner could pull this one off. He has a lot of experience with Native Americans and dead Baseball Players from previous eras and such. ;)
*SNORT* Who is more amusing to me than me? Nobody. LOL!
