This is when the police chief is supposed to resign because the cops on the line can’t protect themselves.
I’d rather see the Chief tell the mayor to go suck an egg and tell his police force to do whatever it takes to restore order. Lord, deliver us from stupid mayors.
No - continue to use and force him to fire is a better move. Then sue for illegal firing because its in the dept Manuel as an appropriate measure.
