Excellent that OSP has now been federalized. I’m sure many of these earlier arrestees will be surprised to find that they are arrested again, now on federal charges.

As an instructor a laser pointer comes in handy. I was working in Australia last year and my colleague (an instructor) was heading to the jet at Sydney airport after a month long stay in the country. The bags were x-rayed and the customs official found a Laser pointer in his bag. In Australia lasers of greater than 1 milliwat are banned or must be registered for those requiring them... He was BUSTED! They filled out a police report on him! Don’t take a laser greater than 1 milliwat to Australia!

I fail to understand why assault with a Lazer isn’t viewed as assault with a weapon that can cause great bodily harm and therefore may be stopped with deadly force.
Captured laser terrorists should have their laser shined into THEIR eyes!
The charge should be felonious assault with intent to inflict grievous bodily injury.

Sorry dude, attacking a LEO with a potentially blinding laser is not unserious, but I think I get your point. I would like these domestic terrrorists to be charged with riot, arson, sedition and assault.

Purposely destroying anyone’s eyesight - especially a LEO - should be met with a LONG term prison sentence....not that that will happen.
