Yep, Ted thought he was granted a pass from the rioters. Why else would he say "Even the building where I live.." as if that made the rioting different now. He never said that about anybody else's building, or the buildings belonging to the United States citizens, or the police union.
Suddenly when it is his house getting attacked and damaged then the rioting has to stop. Ted Wheeler must be uniquely privileged.
