I’m 72, and for the first time in all the years I’ve lived and voted here in Rome, NY, there was a County Sheriff at the polling place when I went to vote in the New York State Primary on June 23rd. I was the only voter at the time. If they had a law enforcement presence for the primary, I’m assuming they will have at least one there on Election Day.
Right, just vote in person if at all possible. They know who is in which zip code. Don’t trust the mail, period.
Police are supposed to be on hand to send goons and electioneers packing. Polling place is neutral territory.

That would be the kind of thing they would do. A few days ago they were circulating training materials suggesting that supporters should go to parking lots likely to be used by pro Trump people at a rally and fill up the parking spots.
No need for violence, just a traffic jam at or near the polling place.
Demographic and voter registration data lets you know what polling places are likely to vote which way. That information is tracked in real time on election day. Every major campaign has extensive databases used to identify their likely voters. Why do you think you get so many calls ahead of elections asking who you are thinking of voting for?
