Not sure how credible it is, but I read that Kyle was working that day in Kenosha as the pool’s lifeguard, his summer job. (He lives about 30 miles away). After work he went to help clean off graffiti at the Kenosha High School.
It was then that some friends of his (from Kenosha) said they were going to protect the service station, and he obtained the AR from a friend in Kenosha.

As many as 20 men a day visited hotel rooms for short periods of time — an indicator of sex trafficking — and some women were forced to stay at the hotels for weeks, four trafficking survivors contend. Meanwhile, employees were paid to keep quiet and act as lookouts in case police arrived or other hotel guests were suspicious, the four lawsuits state.

The operation led to the arrest of nine individuals, who face charges for sex trafficking, parental kidnapping, and registered sex offender violence. For law enforcement officials who spend countless hours investigating child sex trafficking cases, the work can feel like an uphill battle against evil.
Those who traffic minors for sex tend to fly under the radar. And when a child is rescued from an abusive situation, they’re often reluctant to accept help or speak out against those who harmed them.
In metro Atlanta alone, authorities estimate 300 young girls are lured into sex trafficking each month.
“These are not children that are in some faraway land,” said Donald Washington, director of the U.S. Marshals Service. “They are America’s children and they are kids that we need to go and find.”
