He was a member of a hastily formed group of armed Kenosha residents united to aid the police and protect neighborhoods and businesses against the rioters.

Except he wasn’t a resident of Kenosha. And whose AR-15 was he using?

There might be someone else out there facing some serious legal trouble over this.

That's the very least of what he's facing from those in government, who clearly support these violent mobs of arsonist, rioters and anarchist over the law abiding.

What law prohibits a 17 or a 12 year old for that matter, from owning a long gun? There are laws that prohibit the purchasing of such an item, it ownership is another matter. Asking for a friend.

Doesn't matter where he is "from," even if he is not a U. S. citizen. He is onder the lawa of the federal government, the Wisconsin Code, the local county, and the township or village corporation where he is located. That's what is important. So are the protesting criminals.

And whose AR-15 was he using?

Doesn't matter if his life is in danger. In just about any state a 17 y. o. can purchase, own, and carry a long gun.

Wisconsin law (pre-emptory over locality):

>> 12-13 may possess firearm when accompanied by an adult, or while transporting cased/unloaded firearm to/from Hunter Safety class, or in Hunter Safety class
>> 14-17 is the same as 12-13, except Hunter Safety graduates can hunt and possess firearms (rifles/shotguns) without adult supervision.

To either of your issues, it is whether or not he was an accredited graduate of a Hunter Safety course, or otherwise in the company of an adult(s).
