Except he wasn’t a resident of Kenosha.

Doesn't matter where he is "from," even if he is not a U. S. citizen. He is onder the lawa of the federal government, the Wisconsin Code, the local county, and the township or village corporation where he is located. That's what is important. So are the protesting criminals.

And whose AR-15 was he using?

Doesn't matter if his life is in danger. In just about any state a 17 y. o. can purchase, own, and carry a long gun.

I was referring to this statement in the original post, dude:

He was a member of a hastily formed group of armed Kenosha residents united to aid the police and protect neighborhoods and businesses against the rioters.

I simply pointed out that he ISN’T a Kenosha resident. When someone gets a basic, and verifiable, fact like this incorrect, I don’t pay much attention to the rest.

“...Doesn’t matter if his life is in danger. In just about any state a 17 y. o. can purchase, own, and carry a long gun.” [imardmd1, post 72]

Final sentence is in error.

Federal law prohibits sale of a long gun to anyone less than 18 years of age.

Many states and smaller jurisdictions have enacted more stringent requirements, but they cannot relax any requirements of federal law.
