I live in a very silly country. And that makes me sad.
Then shouldn’t The NAACP change its name to The NAAAAH?
colored BAD, person of color GOOD
What’s really interesting is that when she was elected to the Senate (no Republicans allowed on the ballot) she was hailed as the first “Indian (dot) American to be elected to that body. The same news source now claims she’s the first black to be a major party’s VP candidate.
Oh for heaven’s sake!!!!!
Harris ‘colored?’
Did she fill in some outline drawing with Crayolas?
And if so, she should the strain, keeping it in the lines and all.,
Don’t they describe themselves as “people of color?” It’s not the term that’s offensive, it’s who used it.
If Kamala was smarter, she would tell that radio station that she was not offended, and the fellow should not lose his job over one minor mistake. He should be counseled instead. That would even impress some republicans.
But Noooooooo!
That reminds me:
Fred Sanford (to cop): I was robbed.
Cop: Was the robber colored?
Fred: Yes, white.
He should have just called her negro.
“... fired for using an offensive term to describe Democratic vice presidential nominee Sen. Kamala Harris...”
Did he call her “honest”?
Yeah, she’d probably find that offensive.
They chose Kamala for her race and gender. No one objected to having her as VP based on her race so they had to create “racial injustice” around her candidacy to motivate people to “prove” once again, after Obama’s 2 presidential victories, that you have to vote for her if you are NOT racist and if you don’t for her you ARE racist.
I was going to say this is generational thing. Many older acquaintances of mine still use the term colored. I can absolutely see why blacks would consider that term to be offensive. But my older acquaintances mean no disrespect. Like I said, its a generational thing.
But wait. This Cornell guy is only 26 years old. So for him its not a generational thing. It a gross stupidity thing. I dont know if Id want a grossly stupid person working for me.
“People of Color” are shocked with these words.
But the Ministry of information (MSM) keeps telling us Biden selected a “WOC”, a woman of color.
He should have said “person of color” instead of “colored person”. The “of” makes all the difference.
All of these fired broadcasters ought to put together their own company. Bleep U Broadcasters.
I think it is so insulting to be described by the color of your skin.
I recall years ago, someone was criticized for using the term “indian” instead of “native American”.
A local radio commentator said, tongue in cheek, “Someone should inform the American Indian Movement (AIM) that the name of their organization is offensive”.
