A Black Knight style disarming would have been something too.

A brave Texas mom managed to disarm a home intruder after he broke into her home and pointed his gun at her children.
The hapless gunman soon realized he picked on the wrong house when he came face to face with a courageous mother in Hudson, Tx on Saturday evening.
The bungling crook’s biggest mistake was underestimating the mom’s will to protect her kids from danger.
A male knocked on the door of a residence in the Bowers Mobile Home Park in Hudson around 6 p.m., police said.
He then asked a woman if someone was home who didn’t live there.
Cops said the male knocked again, asking for a cigarette and whether her husband was home.

He then forced his way into the home and pointed a gun at the children who were inside, according to reports.
With that, the woman began fighting with the male to get him away from her children, police said and lo and behold, she was able to force the gun away from him.

Presumably realizing his odds of getting whatever he was after had been drastically reduced, the intruder quickly headed for the door, police said.
But just before he departed, police said he stopped and asked the woman who bested him an important question: Would she please give him his gun back?
Police didn’t reveal the woman’s answer, but one can only guess given the crook’s level of success to that point. Cops said the intruder then fled into the wooded area around the park.

Neither the woman nor the children were injured, police reported.
Despite a search of the area, police said the intruder wasn’t located.
He’s described as white, in his 20s, with dirty scraggly blonde hair, skinny, and between 5 feet and 5 feet, 6 inches tall, authorities noted.
He also was wearing a bright orange shirt and checkered shorts that went just below his knees, police added.
Those who may have seen a person matching such a description are asked to contact Deep East Texas Crime Stoppers at (936) 639-TIPS or the Hudson Police Department at (936) 875-2358, KTRE-TV reported.
How did folks react to the incident?
As you might imagine, commenters on the Hudson Police Department’s Facebook page were resolute in their disdain for the crook:
”I would have shot him with his pistol,” one woman responded.
”’Oh wait, can I have my gun back?’ Uhh no!!!!” another woman quipped.
”I hope they find who did that [and] lock him up,” yet another woman declared.
”Dirty blond scraggly hair, bright orange shirt, checkered shorts? Is it possible he’s a time traveler from 1992?” another commenter asked.
Sounds like he can blend into crowds easily with such non-descript clothing.
Too bad it was not a disarming after a double tap to the head.
“Hey look, bear cubs! Lets go annoy them...”
Deep East Texas, 936 area code...
That’s about 20 miles from where I sit. I went to a yard sale in Hudson last weekend. Didn’t have a thing I wanted...
Hudson is a small place, suburb of Lufkin, which is not a big town. Population 35,000. Hudson population was 4700 in 2010.
Not surprising though, we do seem to have a problem with meth labs, and the new sheriff 4 years ago shut down the county narc squad...1st thing he did...small local sale paper also has a weekly police report, always mostly domestic disturbances and a lot of burglaries. Some are a bit humorous too...people call police over some silly stuff...
Hudson is usually fairly quiet though, most of the county crime rate seems to be more on the south side, another even smaller town, Hudson is on the northwest end of town.
On the brighter side, antifa and blm have left us alone so far...
Good, but then you kill him because he’s still a danger to you and your kids.
How has this moron not rode the lightning?
Was he accompanied by a dog named Scooby?
Sounds like he was a homeless person, and that the gun was probably either not loaded or inoperable. Of course we will never know if my guesses are correct or not. 8>)
Small Texas town I grew up in had a pop. of about 800 (1200 in the county).. You couldn’t fart without everyone knowing :p
Under 100 miles away was another place (can’t call it a town).. pop. of 9 O.O; school taught all grades/classes in 1 room.
