An French S-530 Air to Air missile. Not sure but I think you need a permit for one of those things.

You also need an aircraft to launch it from. It is a 40+ year old missile. Its replacement, the MICA (Missile d’interception, de combat et d’autodéfense, “interception, combat and self-defence missile”) can also be launched by ground units and ships.

Yeah, can't launch it 'as is' without the aircraft, but it could be used as an IED at some point, just as the Viet Cong used to use unexploded US bombs as roadside bombs back in the day.

You might not be able to launch it without a french Mirage, or with some rigged up avionic lauching system. You could try to set it off when a motorcade passes by, or, a suicide mission with a small plane or helicopter.

Wonder. Are we training ME pilots used to flying Mirages? Are there any Mirages stationed in Egland in S Florida?
