I found this great movie for free on youtube. I have watched it twice.

TOPICS: Miscellaneous; Society; TV/Movies
KEYWORDS: antifa; bkm; southkorea; zombies
IMO, it is an allegory, of what we face now,a pandemic, and those being infected going crazy(aka Antifa, BLM)

South Koreans are actually getting to a point where they can turn out two or three extremely high-quality movies every single year.

If you like Zombie movies (me: meh), it’s one of the best, up there with World War Z and I am Legend.

But don’t watch if you hate seeing people making stupid decisions.

Zombie for Sale is another SK movie but a comedy and it’s pretty hysterical.

Great movie, however, an observation if I may.

In modern zombie flicks zombies become hyper aggressive and sometimes even super human, whereas old school zombie movies the zombies are slow and stupid but eventually overwhelm protagonists with their sheer numbers.

I find the traditional zombies to be far more creepy, literally and figuratively, than the new modern versions.

Just sayin...

One of the few zombie movies I enjoyed.

You will never hear Aloha oi again without thinking of the ending.

“But don’t watch if you hate seeing people making stupid decisions.”

That’s the element of these movies that drive me crazy.

Good guy KNOWS local militia is combing the area looking for trespassers, food, etc. And the good guy strolls causally across an open, cleared field making no effort to conceal his presence...and is spotted by the militia dudes. Surprise, surprise.

I was watching “Deadland” last night on Prime....same scenario. Had to turn it off.

It is very good. If you don’t mind subtitles, Bitter Sweet Life is another great Korean flick.

I enjoyed “Train to Busan” in part because, unlike a lot of zombie movies, it made me actually care about the characters (even some who didn’t last long). A good South Korean zombie series is “Kingdom” on Netflix. I hope they make a third season.

There was a 2020 South Korean zombie film called "Alive" that I enjoyed:

I enjoyed “Alive” as well. Funny thing is, a few months later I was watching a film called “Alone,” and only quite a bit into it did I realize it is the exact same movie, only the American version! Goes to show that when you watch that many zombie flicks, it is hard to find something original.

I watched “Alive”, and then I saw the trailer for “Alone”, and I thought that the trailer sure looked familiar!

Then I looked up more info on the movies, and discovered that the scriptwriter for “Alone” worked with the Koran director to create a Korean version of the same story.
