Marjorie Taylor Greene's path to Congress has been strewn with controversy. Politico dug up her history of disparaging Black people and Muslims. She's unapologetic about the anti-Semitic tropes she has used to describe George Soros.
But it's another kind of extremism that drew the spotlight to Greene's victory Tuesday in the Republican primary runoff in Georgia: She has promoted the conspiracy theory QAnon, or Q.
The baseless QAnon conspiracy sprang from right-wing message boards in 2017. Those who buy into it think President Trump is leading a secret war against Satan-worshiping pedophiles in the deep state. They believe a figure known only as Q is helping and leaving encrypted messages for "digital soldiers" of the movement to decode.
The watchdog group Media Matters for America counts 19 congressional candidates with links to QAnon who will be on the ballot in November. Many are long shots. But not Greene, whose primary win in a deep red House district means she's all but assured a seat in Congress. Greene has embraced the QAnon conspiracy in a series of social media posts in recent years.

All that Q has said is that he is connected in some way with the trump administration. Q has said he is a team of individuals numbering less then 10 and of which only 3 are non military..
of course we have no idea how truth full any of this is because there is no proof.
my speculation is that Q is some one who is just a skilled researcher. I think that he is probably a low level Walter middy type who exaggerates his clearance level. I am betting his posts originally were his alone and that there was no connection to the Whitehouse. at some point he was discovered and became a white house political operation used by trump to troll his enemies.
Zat is not my dog.
Number 1 if he denies it he’s just lost the q crowd.
The Q crowd is much more aligned with the President, than with Q.
That would not lose the Q crowd. Not even.
But he would have some explaining to do, for not telling us sooner.

Uh, yes.... now go forth and tell the truth about Biden & Harris’ backgrounds, ideology, and agenda. Say only those things about them that are known to be true.
This will irritate them just as badly as the truth did to Bill & Hill in ‘98. They will respond with the same colossal lies & vitriol against their critics.
Truth is always on the side of the VRWC, only more so this time where the saying “truth is stranger than fiction” applies more than ever.
Bring on Biden’s dementia, weird pronouncements and fondness for little girls. Bring on Kalama Zoo’s lurid past and tyranny while in office. The truth will never cease to amaze.
That is all. Go forth and do well.
;^)
Let me explain that a bit better...
Q derives its legitimacy from our belief that they serve at the pleasure of the President.
Remove that, and Qs legitimacy is damaged far more than the Presidents.
There are few, if any QAnons that do not understand this completely.
It would be Q that would then have the most explaining to do.

“Q has never actually broken stories...”
Well, I know that, but you said:
A lot of the information that you now believe about the abuses of the Obbama administration started being released on the Q posts.
That cannot actually be true unless Q is “breaking” stories, which we both know he is not doing. So don’t make the claim.
“Q mentioned this research is done on her connection and eventually the info becomes main stream months later”
So then Q is just an aggregator like FR, but one dressing themselves up in a pretensions of grandeur.
“All that Q has said is that he is connected in some way with the trump administration. Q has said he is a team of individuals numbering less then 10 and of which only 3 are non military..”
Which Q are you talking about? The original one on 4chan claimed to be a single individual. The 8chan/8kun imposters are the ones claiming to be a “team”. Either way, we know they aren’t actually connected to the Trump administration, or they wouldn’t have had to stoop to stunts like faking that Air Force One photo.
“of course we have no idea how truth full any of this is because there is no proof”
When there is no proof for a unlikely claim, the default position is to assume it’s not true. Especially when there is plenty of contradictory evidence.
“my speculation is that Q is some one who is just a skilled researcher. I think that he is probably a low level Walter middy type who exaggerates his clearance level. I am betting his posts originally were his alone and that there was no connection to the Whitehouse. at some point he was discovered and became a white house political operation used by trump to troll his enemies.”
That’s a nice theory, but it doesn’t fit with the facts. The 8chan “Q team” has no access to the original “Q” 4chan account. So they’re not connected to him. We know who some of the 8chan “Q team” were, because they were stupid enough to login to the “Q” 8chan account while doing a livestream. These aren’t people that are connected to the government in any way, they are just people who found a unique way to get content for their streams to make money.
They are not trying to convince you they are fake. They are making fun of you for believing such utter garbage.
.... Dont assume to know what I believe. You know what happens when you do that.
what is that?
the posts you are referring to was when the every one and there dog were getting on line claiming they were Q shortly after the account was hacked....Q has never posted live stream. also never said he broak stories said that he pointed out the information months before it became mainstream.
“the posts you are referring to was when the every one and there dog were getting on line claiming they were Q shortly after the account was hacked....”
I am not talking about those posts, it was a live stream where the streamer clearly logs into Q’s 8chan account, the account that was used to post all of the “Q drops” to 8chan.
“Q has never posted live stream”
Apparently, at least one of the “team” that had access to post as “Q” on 8chan was streaming, because we have the video to prove it. There is also very good reason to believe that all, or a least several of the streamers on that channel had access, since they were all working together on the same Discord streams, and they all leapt to defend the guy who got busted logging into the Q account, which only would make sense if they were guilty too.
“also never said he broak stories”
Again, which “Q” are you talking about? The original “Q” on 4chan most definitely claimed to have insider information he was revealing for the first time to the public. At least until all the predictions he made failed to happen, then he disappeared. “Q2: Electric Boogaloo” has been more careful with their claims.
I think your answer is: if they ask him, there is a chance he firmly denies it, and then they can’t play the “guilt by association” game as easily anymore.

Actually, Q has never said any of that. I have watched the phenomenon fairly closely, and there is Q, which is pretty interesting, and fairly constrained. He did predict McCain’s Time of Death, on the death certificate, to the minute, something very strange. And clearly Trump is encouraging interest in it.
But then there is the board where Q posts which is a legit mess, with anything and everything posted there, even including tranny porn posted by people trying to disrupt it. You’ve got to separate the wheat from the chaff, and on that, some people may not do it rigorously.
All of that said, they do often uncover interesting things which are very suspicious. Pizzagate actually was suspicious as hell, and we know Epstein was running a full on blackmail op.
And you have to factor in the Main Stream media hates it, which might be a real endorsement of its veracity.
Q legit posted McCain would be in the news in a month, and when asked if McCain would ever be punished, he said every dog has his day.
McCain died 30 days later, on national dog day, and the time on his death certificate was, to the minute, the time of Q’s post.
It could be luck, but there have been a lot of times like that. He called something happening with North Korea before the detente, and Bill Barr’s (B2) arrival before anybody knew who he was.
Q is definitely more than just a random dude with good luck. But what exactly he is remains to be proven.
“McCain died 30 days later, on national dog day, and the time on his death certificate was, to the minute, the time of Qs post.”
So your thesis is what? Q assassinated John McCain and basically confessed it to the internet? And the medical examiner who prepared the death certificate was in on it? Does that really sound reasonable to you?
“It could be luck, but there have been a lot of times like that.”
There have been even more times where his predictions have failed. Many, many more. But the true believers only remember the few times his vague BS gets close to something that actually happens. It’s called confirmation bias.
I held a Top Secret security clearance many years ago and I assure you that there are things the general public only guesses about our remains clueless about.
After that disclaimer, I'll say that I think the President likes the idea that a group of nerds have contributed to a mythological image around him. Who wouldn't like having digital warriors in their dens you could shake your shillelagh at and cause a magical buzz?
I dont know why my copy and paste wont work but go to any qanon thread and among the first say five posts the leader posts a hopping dinosaur.
Not sure what qualifies as ‘irony’ there...
doh!
