It does make one wonder, at what point does all of this fear of the virus, and actions against the virus, become overkill?
We are talking about a virus which the vast majority of infected persons survive. We are talking about a virus for which we have identified certain people who are at higher risk, and who should take greater precautions than the rest of us. We are talking about taking drastic actions such as shutdowns which we have not done for other viruses or health conditions.
At what point is the cure worse than the disease, pardon the pun. Why is the collateral damage to the economy and society and education considered ok, so we can make Dr. Fauci and radical talking heads on MSNBC happy?
That makes the death toll 10,000 or so as a floor. Astonishing. Any number higher than that necessarily features COVID as a mere contributing factor, at best.
America seems to be committing suicide, only I do not believe lady liberty is holding the gun. Which means it is not suicide, it is murder.
A good friend of mine’s wife is the head nurse in a maternity department at a hospital.
Typically when some dies in her department, she has to fill out a whole report and have a deposition with the hospitals attorneys going over every detail of what happened in case of a lawsuit.
When the first COVID death in her department happened, she went to fill out the report and talked to her supervisor about the deposition - her supervisor said “just put down COVID 19 as the cause of death on the report, no other details and you don’t have to speak to the hospital’s attorneys.
How many times have hospitals just listed COVID 19 as the reason for a death to avoid any potential lawsuits ?
I thought the ones driving alone in their cars were just wearing a mask to control the urge to lick the windows...
Great article.
