Prayers up. I think I may have caught it as early as the weekend before Christmas. I was on my way up to MD to spend some time with family, and something got its hooks in me. I kept thinking, ah, it's just a bug, I'll feel fine tomorrow. I didn't. Similar to what your daughter is feeling - I slept 12 hours a day. I finally made an appointment to see my doc here in GA and I had a three day wait. His waiting room that he shares with two other docs at their practice was packed like a sardine can. His nurse said she'd never seen so many people all sick with the same thing. I got put on prednisone to open my chest, zithromycin for the infection, and Cherrytussin w/codeine for the cough (I'd gotten to the point where I was coughing up pink foam). My old wound therapy doc taught me that gummy multi-vites or liqui-caps are the best delivery method for your vitamins and minerals, and why. I was good to go within a week. Then I saw my doc last week for a checkup, and he said he's highly suspect that there was a COVID flash fire down here around the holidays, but back then, they didn't know what to look for, they all figured it was a nasty strain of the flu they hadn't been advised about. He said they're all each still seeing 30-40 patients a day. He looked like five miles of rutted road. Didn't even have his lab coat on, and you know how docs prize them like a green Master's jacket. I told him, my prescription was to pack up, rent a mountain cabin in the middle of nowhere for ten days, and spend it hiking and trout fishing. That'll buck up any man's physical and mental fortitude.
