I think the overall point is, if you are NOT symptomatic, why would you go out and get deliberately tested for a disease?
Other than you are a good party-prog and you have been told to.
In my case I had little choice; I was tested twice this summer. First time I went to the ER with a fever of unknown origin (FUO), I was asymptomatic. I told them I didn't have coronavirus but two days in quarantine anyway, then two days on a regular med ward on antibiotic IV drip.
Second time I was scheduled for a somewhat minor surgery; had to get a nasal swab two days in advance.
I agree that I had no intention of volunteering to take the test. I take all the precautions. This whole thing is mostly a scam! Yes, there is a pandemic and people are getting sick and people are dying - just like the seasonal flu. I wrote the Prez early on and told him he had been duped about total lockdown. That sooner or later we would have to face herd immunity.
That is what we are doing now: undergoing herd immunity. Hopefully by November the numbers will be inconsequential... if the reporting is honest. Already the enemy is hollering about new threats that could kill just about everyone; we have to lockdown until Orange Man gone. 😠
Not arguing with your point, just tolerating the consequences. :)
Especially when in the local newspaper they had a story of a woman who got tested and then got a $3,000 bill in the mail.
