To take a break from all the garbage :<(((((
I finally finished the last episode of the last season of Alias. After the episode finished up popped a big poster saying thanks for the 5 years. Again, IMHO, it was the best show ever on TV. Did some searching on there ever being a remake/continuation. Almost to an actor they did not want to see a remake. They said the show was too unique. And if one still watches TV and has not seen it-----------
As an aside I also watched the last episode of Blindspot. While the series was pretty good the last episode was pretty lame. Couldn't get my hands in front of my eyes fast enough to stop from seeing the two guys kissing. LAME.
Deep into Justified and its an entertaining series about Kentucky hill life. Being that there doesn't seem to be any chance for new fall TV series I've started a small list of good old shows to watch. Next, after Justified, I was going to watch 24 but yesterday I accidentally ran across something to do with Miami and Miami Vice popped into my head. I watched a short clip and wow, oh yes. Sorry 24 but Miami Vice is next.
I will plug two show.
Revenge. Starring Emily VanCamp. A woman seeks revenge on the people who destroyed her family and put her in foster care after causing her father to go to prison. Very soapy like Dallas. All the characters are true to themselves. Great cast and very well done. 2011-2015
Starter Wife. Cable dramedy with Debra Messing as the perfect Hollywood Housewife dumped by her powerful Producer husband. I just liked the characters and writing. Cancelled after a year and a half. I will warn you that it does have a gay male character, but I didn’t find it gratuitous. I mean, it is Hollywood. It don’t think it is out of the question there could be a gay person among her circle of friends in modern day Hollywood. 2007-08
“Smugglers Blues”!!!
Thank you, yes, Vegas. And thats ‘we’ miss that America. In the 70s and 80s we lived and worked in Santa Barbara. Taught flying for the UCSB flying club on the side. Hmmmm there was an entry here on FR to do with UCSB. Now I can’t find it. Was there when some students burned a Bank Of America for some reason.
For example
Was just going to ask - where to watch the whole series. I have Netflix and Prime. NF only has seasons 1-2. Prime wants you to pay unless you sign up for STARZ.
Did you pay for Epix?
Been wanting to watch MV. Brings back memories. My first business trips as a systems engineer back in the 80’s were babysitting computers at BellSouth down in Miami. Senior guys had left the site so I’d fly down from Jersey. 3rd trip and decided to do Benihana’s. In walks Phillip Michael Thomas and his entourage. We gave mutual nods. Guy was cool.
Well in reading this and all of the comments, I cannot help but think it is certainly true, there is no accounting for taste.
Maybe its Stars and not Epix.
Ill look online and post back.
Sorry, its Starz.
I have that for Prime.
MONK
Just wanted to say thank you very much for the t.v. show recommendation, that show was well worth binge watching! very well developed story, cast and crew all!
amazon prime has all 5 seasons now
Gosh, several entries on a month old entry. OK,,,,,, GOAT?????? Now in the closing scene of the last episode I was a bit confused as to the relationship with his exwife. He went back to Florida (?) to help bring up the baby but?????
Pardon my memory if I misquoted anything.
