Briahna Joy Gray, who served as national press secretary for U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders’ 2020 presidential campaign, said Joe Biden’s pick of Kamala Harris shows “contempt for the base.”
The leftist Gravel Institute said “Joe Biden picked the cop” and the Los Angeles chapter of the Democratic Socialists of America also called Harris a “cop” before adding “our stance will always be: abolish the police.”
A joint statement from the Progressive Democrats of America and RootsAction said Harris “failed for years to hold police accountable for gross misconduct in California.”
