I have received no mail for six days. I just phone the Postmaster and he said he has received maybe ten calls today.
This is a rural route.
He does not know why but they are only getting a third or fourth as much mail as they usually do.
Or Ice Cream.
;-)
Knitting the cloth from my cats hair would have been quicker too.

I am faster. Seriously tho, over the last sixty days or so we have had spikes in parcel volume and a drop off in letter and flat volume (magazines, large envelopes, catalogs). I’ve noticed that on some days when 1st class mail volume is low, we get box holder letters (100% delivery, ie Spectrum, Dish etc), don’t know if it’s intentional or just what has been coming in. BTW we have two eight hour routes and one auxiliary route, about 2 hrs, street time around 1.5 hours, myself and the other carrier have been splitting it Tues-Saturday for close to 2 years now. Bigger offices have a lot of slackers who use and abuse sick time and find new ways to be intentionally slow and try to get overtime anyway they can. Not all, but a few make it difficult for those who do work hard and do a good job. A post office in another town nearby has 20 or more routes, of them the few that are slackers make it difficult for the rest. You couldn’t pay me double overtime to work there.

LOL!!!
It’s a tie for Newman and George being my favorite characters.
One usually beats the other each show for the title.
