So the MSM is silent about this? I had no idea. It looks as though even if the 3G dam holds, China is still really damaged because of flooding. What to speak if the big dam does blow.

That’s why I’ve been posting on the previous threads that the dam is more likely than not to fail. Their other farmland has had severe drought. And of course the Locusts.
China is NOT the only country that is going to be short of food this year. And depending on how bad the grand solar minimum gets, shortages for many years could be what happens.
During one of the grand solar minimums, the USA had a year that they called the year without a summer. We switched all our garden plants to the shortest maturity days we could find year before last. And using heirloom seeds so that we can save seeds in case the suppliers continue to have issues.
We also have been spending extra to stock up each and every month to avoid the food inflation prices down the road. When oil prices spike or there’s weather problems, it always helps to hurry up and buy extra stuff especially sale items.
Back to China-they’ll be set back at least 50 years if that dam breaks. They’ll have to put their World Domination Plans on hold I think.
Thank you Greeneyes. These are all good ideas!
1816 Was the year without a summer.

The Year Without a summer was caused by the 1815 eruption of Mount Tambora and not a solar minimum. The solar minimum likely didn't help things, mind you.
The volcanic eruption you should be glad you weren't around to witness was the Youngest Toba eruption about 75,000 years ago. It is estimated that the Homo Sapiens got down to fewer than one thousand breeding couples. That was a hair's breadth from extinction.

That’s interesting because I had started to think of [current_year] as the Year Without a Summer due to the ongoing insurrection. Interesting that it turns out to be a grand solar minimum at the same time. The Chinese should understand this. . . they should be the first to acknowledge the power of the stars on the affairs of men.
