:: but could you aim it at trolls ::
Thanks for being nice and not all Karen-y.
Generally I do.
I scroll right past all those generic broadcast reminders about trolls.
Beneficial, they are.
Then I see some disregard those reminders and others gleefully cheer them on as “the thread troll-slayers”.
But, when some of y’all get uppity and tell me directly what I should or should not do, that kinda raises my “Free Speech” (within FR limits) hackles.
Unless, of course, some posters here ARE more equal than others.
Capice?
Yeh. I have zero need for deference. Ask me nicely and I’ll likely say for sure. No one likes orders.
Way early on, when trolls were more abundant and the thread was truly beyond a mess, a bunch of us discussed it and picked a person to be the main batter and a backup-that discussion included the MQD. The back up was a Marine guy IIRC.
Anyway, my opinion is that ignoring works the best anyway. Starves the trolls and avoids the reminders. Ha
You’re right, I’m not the boss of anything here, just a concerned citizen thinking that if we exercise restraint voluntarily it might preclude having the issue forced by The Powers That Be. Like the Japanese say, “the nail that sticks out gets hammered down”. But what do I know?
Sorry my strongly-worded suggestion rubbed you wrong.
