You knew that an interview on this subject with liberals, was going to end with them finding a way to exploit his death to advance the Party's aims, didn't you?

That’s how I want to be remembered: A guy who was in the room somewhere.

That’s kind of faint praise for a “civil rights icon”. He managed to be places. Wow.
I think we should remember him for braving the racist threats and spitting that didn’t happen when they walked the Obamacare bill to the White House.

Got to give him his props for that. The saying goes "90% of life is just showing up". Some of the yard apes whom I used supervise never figured that out.

Secretary Clinton: I just remember, you know, looking up and there he was. I was so surprised. And he had that smile on his face that I loved seeing.(snip)
I don't think I ever saw him smile?

I will always remember John Lewis. He always showed up and was not afraid to point out that you were a racist, unless you were a Democrat. His eulogy to Robert Byrd was especially touching in that regard: “Robert Byrd: A true statesman.”
He was also steadfast and unmatched in falsely accusing others of using the “N” word.
Obviously, our nation has lost a great leader — who will take his place?
