Riots burn out in a few hours or a few days. This is an insurrection. These people need to be put down like rabid dogs.

antifa morons defeated by the feds, attack a softer target.

PORTLAND, Ore. — Protesters gathered in both downtown Portland and on Portland’s east side near the PPB North Precinct building, Portland Police said on Saturday.

Police say a group of people gathered about the building and interfered with operations of the police facility. By 9:30, they say they advised the crowd to leave to the west. That’s when PPB says the crowd walked two miles to the Portland Police Association (PPA) office.

After 10:30 p.m., people broke into the building and a fire was set inside.

"What’s going on in Portland is somewhere between riot and insurrection, and demands a strong federal response even if local officials are in denial."

In denial? They're part of the problem!

"I've heard that masks also help with the tear gas."

Not surgical masks. They don't offer any protection from tear gas or pepper spray. In fact, any irritant that got under the mask would create an even bigger problem, because most of these irritants are stimulated by body heat, and it's warmer under that mask than your skin that's exposed to air. We had yearly training in CS and CN gas use. You were advised if you wore contacts, to take them out before being exposed to the gas, because it can get under the contacts and burn or blister. If you were exposed to gas, you were told to keep your eyes open and let them tear, and that is very hard to do, despite the fact that you know it should be done. We were told not to rub our eyes, but that's the first thing you want to do. Flushing the eyes with water helps, but it doesn't get rid of it totally, and your clothes absorbed the stuff, and if you didn't remove your clothing, and get rid of it, those gas particles on your clothing could start the effect all over again.

Under both aforementioned acts, personal rights are seen to be forfeited through the stated law violator’s own actions.

Last time I checked, the FBI was still running around looking for right-wing extremists:

It has to do with his E.O. Protecting American Monuments, Memorials, and Statues and Combating Recent Criminal Violence. Personally, I think they're trying to gather as much information about the group committing the attacks, and hopefully learn more about how they operate. It would be nice to be able to learn the chain of command they use. I don't know if the Feds have infiltrated the groups yet, but by picking them up individually, they tend to be more placid than if they have a group around them. Once you get them alone, they usually turn to jello. One article I read said they've made 13 arrests, but the article also said, that number hasn't been confirmed, so nobody knows if any arrests have even taken place. You'd think the media would be on top of that crap. One Reuters article wrote:

"Portland protester Conner O’Shea said agents chased him in an unmarked vehicle Wednesday while walking with his friend Mark Pettibone back to their cars. “I know they’re looking for people that are doing graffiti and laser pointing,” he said. 'We haven’t done any of that, which makes it all the more scary.' ”

So apparently he wasn't arrested, just briefly detained, but the reporter never even bothered to ask any of that. And how dumb is Conner O'Shea, to give up his best friend's name? Duh??

those gas particles on your clothing could start the effect all over again.

Not actually a gas, a micro pulverized solid.
Different methods used for dispersal.

The particles get in the fiber of your clothing, hair, eyebrows...

I've been retired for almost 17 years, so I'm a bit rusty on what I remember from my training. We had to go through it once a year. I do remember the stuff we used was heat activated. Once it hit the skin, it started working. We had various types of gas projectiles. Some that looked like grenades that could be thrown, or dispensed from a gas gun. One grenade type had three sections to it that would break open one after the other. We also had some that were rocket shaped with fins to make it go farther. They were filled with liquid, and could penetrate through a wall. We also had hand-held spray cans, which you were trained to aim between the neck and chest area.

I worked in NY State's prison system so there could be various incidents that might require gas. If it had to be used in doors, you had to follow a specific formula based on the size of the area, the number of inmates you'd be using it on, and the lethal toxicity to prevent death. Other than at the academy, I was never exposed to it during the years I worked there. It was rarely used, and could only be used as a last resort, and if I remember correctly, only a Captain or above could authorize its use. Because I've been retired so long, I don't know if they even use that stuff anymore, or have moved on to something more modern. The stuff had an expiration date, and had to be disposed of in a specific way once it was past its shelf life.

I believe the Deep State needs the optics of uncontrolled unrest and/or police brutality - even if they have to fake both.

I believe they are demanding Trump respond sufficiently for them to declare police brutality/storm troopers abusing the public. It doesn’t have to be true - there just have to be photos and assertions by Nancy and her choir.

It’s the DS attempt to portray the federal government as incapable when they are NOT responding, and bloodthirsty brownshirts when the Feds ARE responding.

They want to bait Trump into the zone to use him as a prop to declare a constitutional crisis because the governor does NOT want Trump there.

They keep doing this - they want the pity and support of the U.N. Americans are their secondary audience - they are actually playing to our enemies in the U.N.

” Does the situation really require unmarked vehicles, and officers working without visible shield numbers or other clear ID or even uniforms?”

What is with this issue of ‘unmarked cars’ crap come from? THC-driven paranoia? Seriously. If two fed agents come up to me with determination in their eye, the last thing I’m thinking of is what vehicle they have.

There has never been a requirement that federal agents travel in marked vehicles any more than a bounty hunter has to mark his vehicle.

Other than being marked clearly as ‘police’, and/or a unit identifier patch, they don’t wear ID visible to the public for obvious security reasons. They deal with really evil people. Like Evil, evil. Criminals who would love to find out who nabbed them and where their families live.

To be noted, several obsessive-compulsive antifa types have taken it upon themselves to built databases of officers names, badge numbers, license plates, photos of vehicles, wives and the officers, and have followed them home to get their address and that of their wives’ employment and their kids schools so they can continue their vandalism and harassment. Yes, people are mentally devious enough to do this. (hanging out on twitter has been quite educational)

Feds also don’t have to wear dress uniforms to chase juvenile delinquents. It would cost a fortune to keep separate leo branches in unique uniforms and hard to tell who’s who in joint exercises. Fatigues are multi-purpose, cheap, easy to recognize and easily replaceable.

I just love the way these anarchists, who are so intent in taking our rights away, that the first thing they cry about when picked up is that their rights are being violated.

```
That’s because they are in a hurry to get to the next riot organization meeting and resent being detained when they need to be organizing for the night’s riot. The cops have no right to violate their rights like that because everyone knows that arrest is just a formality on the way to burning looting and destroying the hated America like they learned about in school - its their civic duty, you know.
