Its just the flu, bro.
Why is Colorado getting stricter with CV regulations? Mandatory masks in public indoor spaces - even in rural counties? They are averaging about 4 deaths a day, which is much lower than April and May. I know why - Democratic Governor.

I refuse to accept that the land of liberty, the United States, is less free than socialist Sweden when it comes to Covid. Whatever is causing this lack of freedom here needs to go. It will likely need to be a scaling back of CV liability for private corporations as it relates to frivolous lawsuits. Unfortunately to get this the Republicans are going to have to give Pelosi a whole bunch of concessions that we dont want her to have.
The other source of lack of freedom is - freedom of the press. Of course we dont want to eliminate the first amendment. So the only thing I can see to change with the media is social media as they should be subject to the same liability standards as regular publishers since they filter out conservative voices. Something about rule 230 will change.

BAD NEWS...ALL Food City stores, INCLUDING Lenoir City; will be requiring masks effective July 23rd. I just spoke to the Lenoir City manager, and he confirmed it. The entire chain. Load up before the 23rd.
I don’t understand these wait a week emergencies. If it is really an emergency why not require a mask up now?
Damn good question that no one seems to be interested in answering.
Maybe the masks are spreading COVID...aren’t many manufactured in China? Why the hell would you wear something manufactured in China on your face? Insanity.
Just DANG!!!
Well, like someone said up thread...free market trumps access to necessities like food if you can't/won't wear a mask.
‘142,064 TOTAL DEAD;’
including many who have died twice...seriously, bro, how many of those 143k do you think were nearing the endgame anyway...?
Nationally and locally there has been no honest discussion about masks. The doctors and professionals who speak against the mask folly have no voice except in conservative circles. This is a huge problem.
So far I have been able to shop without a mask, though sometimes I am surrounded by 200 Karens. The grocery store tightening up might change things. I made a cheater mask that is very short (just covers my lower lip), pleated at the top so that it does not rest on my nose, single layer of lightweight rayon, and does not tie at the bottom. Fits very loose. No test run yet.
‘What protects you from being shanked, shot or otherwise attacked by wild eyed Karens or Chads if they see you without a mask?’
never mind about ‘without a mask’...how about when they rat you out for wearing it under your nose, and then say ‘a fine Christian you are’ when you complain about being ratted out...?
I am disliking the people this virus has created more and more each day...
Free market? I say 'corporate fascism'.
‘If individual businesses are requiring masses they are making decision in the free market thst they think are in their shareholders interest.’
ha; they’re covering their asses so that someone can’t sue them for allowing unmasked shoppers...that is the only reason...
‘The free market has spoken’
horse hockey; the lawyers have spoken...
Everyone spews that these are private businesses and they are free to set their own rules. But that’s not entirely true. They have to abide by MANY Federal regulations such as smoking, hiring, civil rights, etc.
The mask mandates MUST be violating at least one Federal regulation. Trump needs to get the ball rolling on this. Give citizens/shoppers the FREEDOM to choose whether or not to jeopardize their health by wearing masks.
‘Stricter regulations end up increasing the WuFlu cases.’
quite frankly, I believe these ‘new cases’ are being made up out of whole cloth, if you’ll pardon the pun...
My wife just shopped Aldi’s...although the county has a mask mandate; there was NO SIGN of an Aldi’s mandate...yet. She wore her mask down around her neck (like a dog collar, LOL...she LOVES symbolism)...nowhere near her mouth or nose. No one said a thing. Good thing...if you give her any grief, she’ll go for the nads. Fair warning! Off to Kroger...
‘Trump needs to get the ball rolling on this. Give citizens/shoppers the FREEDOM to choose whether or not to jeopardize their health by wearing masks.’
that will never happen...not only does Trump not have the gumption to do it, but if by some odd chance he did, it would hand the election to Old Joe on a silver platter, as scared and meek as our fellow citizens are...
I am at wits end. Here in Wisconsin we have (famously) been restriction free since the middle of May. Thank you state supreme court. After the ruling we had a normal bell curve drop off for weeks. Then mid-June they significantly increased testing capacity, and the case counts went up. But the death counts continue to show the tail-end of the bell curve. To the point where we have having consecutive zero-death days.
And now, after all this, after months of freedom, every stinking grocery store in the state is forcing mask rules, mostly starting next Monday. I’ve been giving my business to companies without mask requirements (the Home Depot does cost a little more than Menards, but they’ve receive several hundred dollars of business from me). But I am running out of grocery options. Every last one in town now has a mask requirement.
So frustrated.
It’s like wearing a condom to a baby shower (stolen from lgjhn23).
Your governor tells you where you can go, when you can go, how long you can be out, how you must dress, who you may associate with, whether or not you can go to church, whether or not you are allowed to make a living ... every element of your public life!
It's truly unbelievable that in America one person -- nothing more than a politician no less -- can have such absolute control over another adult.
Their "good intentions" notwithstanding (I could not care less about their "good intentions", I care only about their actions) the next time you see your governor's face -- masked or not -- realize that you are looking into the vile terrifying face of the pure, uncompromising evil of tyranny.
How about the few times that I have worn them and they steam up my glasses.
