Who would you pick for the Supreme Court?

*IF* a position comes up who would you pick?

If you're sick of being let down a solid pick would be Sen. Mike Lee (IMO).

He is conservative and he means it.

I'm not sure if people want someone else from the current federal bench.

They will just let you down conveniently making up the numbers to side with the liberals when required.

So what do you think?

“Sidney (Powell) the Attorney represents individuals, corporations, and governments in federal appeals in complex commercial litigation. She has practiced law, primarily in the Fifth Federal Circuit for decades. She has been lead counsel in more than 500 federal appeals—350 of them as an Assistant United States Attorney and Appellate Section Chief in the Western and Northern Districts of Texas. She is a past president of the American Academy of Appellate Lawyers and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit, and a member of the American Law Institute.”

56 or 57 had a birthday in May Wikipedia says she doesn’t exist.

I don’t think Roberts is all that pro-2A. I think he isn’t anti-2A, but if he were a solid ally, he’d be voting to take the 2A cases that Kavanaugh and Thomas have been begging for all along.

But to answer your question, no, I don’t want another Roberts. He’s been a huge disappointment and I thought he was a decent pick at the time.

How about Mike Pence?
Put Pence on the court.
Replace Pence with Mark Meadows.

Me. I’m outside the swamp, outside the Beltway, am not affiliated with any Party or political group, am a staunch defender of the Constitution and originalism, etc...

Plus... I don’t really like most people so I have trust issues. I’m the only one I would trust to do the job the way I think it should be done.

And yes, I’m anti-Roe V Wade as well. Nor would I shy away from 2A issues. I’d literally slug Roberts in the mouth if he pussies out of hearing a solid 2A case.

We need reliable. Everyone here can tell you how the libs on the court will vote for all cases for the next year. The “conservatives”, not so much. Reliable. Ted Cruz seems to be that.

VDH is in his 60s, has no legal background as far as I know, and needs to keep pumping out books and columns. The Supreme Court would take too much of his time.

“has no legal background as far as I know,”

Being a lawyer isn’t required for SCOTUS. At least that was mentioned here several times in the past.
