The Georgetown University Student Senate voted in favor of a resolution denouncing a conservative students blog post. William Torgerson, a student at Georgetown University, wrote a blog post called A Nation of Virtuous Individuals in which he condemned the Black Lives Matter movement. He also made another blog post - which is now-deleted but the GUSA had obtained screenshots of - where he wrote that being depressed is not normal.
In the most recent post, Torgerson wrote that Black Lives Matter is a movement entirely based in unfalsifiable ideological possession, and it does not deserve your support.

True. So what does being denounced mean to him as a student and personally? Is this like being excommunicated from the Church of Social Justice?

condemn hysterically attack Torgerson for using rhetoric [that] "is accurate, cogent, descriptive, and pointed." By writing that "the United States is not in fact populated by mythical creatures," Torgerson "negates the existence of fairies and mermaids."
Oh, yeah. The so-called "resolution" is just that nonsensical and self-serving.
The left has discovered a key to the communist revolution: rebrand it in racial terms and then silence and ruin anyone who dares to even suggest it’s not perfect. Once dissent is utterly suppressed, they can start to reveal what their real goals are (and it’s not defunding police, if they get total power we’ll have a police state like we’ve never seen and it will not be gentle)

We all know the endless variations on this theme. Nancy Pelosi, Hillary and Bill Clinton, and virtually every other Democrat has used this formulation, particularly when their backs are against the wall.

It’s a rough translation. Some words might be closer in meaning to “un-Marxist” than “anti-Marxist”. But I got the gist of it.

Still, this is nothing less than a form of bullying.
Just because they passed a resolution doesn’t make it any less right than the majority of the people voting to steal your property.
