Seriously, having a logical conversation with these people gives more credibility to them than they deserve. Ridicule them.

Or just shrug and say Dr. Fauci said—save the masks for the people who need them like Docs. and Nurses.

Or “only criminals wear masks”.

Me, too. The first thing I will say is “Okay, Karen.” No seriously, I’ve been practicing hahaha. Or maybe I’ll wave my hand and get a wide eyed panicked look on my face, wave my hand (dismissively.. dh says my dismissive skills are stellar lol) and say... “Social distancing, please.”

I worked in a clean room for over 35 years. The way these people are handling their ppe is just ridiculous, and less than pointless.
we would change out our face coverings every few hours, or more if you should sneeze or cough into it. Also, clean gloves would always be worn as well even when just removing the face masks from their packaging.

Due to the price, I am pretty sure that most of these people are wearing them over and over. When you lick your lips, your tongue touches it. If you should need lip balm the balm gets on the mask, not to mention face lotion. You touch your shopping cart then use your hands to remove or adjust your mask. You get in the car, and throw it on the car seat, which somehow it ends up on the car floor, or worse, the bottom of your purse. You run in the house after shopping. Go to use the restroom and set down everything in your hands, purse, face mask, etc.

Bottom line, these masks are just gross. So, if someone is MYOB, no problem, but if being a scold, I would tell them how gross their mask wearing is. They may as well be wearing used underwear on their face and mouth. Shame them back.
