On the issue of American slavery, I am an absolutist: enslavers were amoral monsters. The very idea that one group of people believed that they had the right to own another human being is abhorrent and depraved.

I wish all of these people who think that this country is so immoral would prove their sincerity by moving to some country that they consider morally superior. People have sacrificed their lives for their principles, at least these people could move elsewhere for theirs.

Mr. Blow, it is very strange that the white Christian West was the first civilization to suspect that slavery was wrong. And pass laws and make war to end it.
Slaves didn’t like being slaves; they fled or rebelled or bought themselves free, but it didn’t change civilizations, i.e. the ancient Hebrews.

Hardly. Democrats have been enslaving black people since the inception of the democratic party. Pre-civil war, they used whips and chains to enslave, as well as territorial compromises, and laws like the "fugitive slave act." After republicans ended the southern insurrection and legalized slavery, the democrats kept black people enslaved through the KKK and other democrat supported, white supremacist paramilitary groups. After republicans used federal troops to suppress the Klan, democrats used Jim Crow laws and legalized segregation to enslave black people, and they opposed constitutional amendments and the various civil rights acts to keep black people enslaved. And on the modern day, democratic plantation, democrats keep black people enslaved through mind-control and an endless stream of government handouts that have made generations of black people dependent upon their slave-masters in the democratic party for survival.
Yes, and he was bothered with being associated with slavery for many years. During the Revolution, he saw the hypocrisy of claiming that the British wanted "to enslave" Americans while he and others were literally enslaving people.
Washington treated his slaves rather well, and would not sell slaves that did not want to be sold as he did not like to break up families. Because he was not an active slave trader, he did not make much money from having slaves. The population of his slaves grew due to not selling them, and he was never a successful planter; so they became a liability for him as he had to feed and clothe and house a large population of people he did not really need.
