Cause it’s a part of Americana. Also getting pleasure seems to really annoy killjoy whiners.
Wolfing down several dozen hot dogs in a speed and quantity contest is no part of Americana, especially televised. If you enjoy gluttony by all means indulge yourself but I have no desire to watch that.
