Later that day, Mayor Jenny Durkan met with CHOP protesters at a nearby church where they gave her demands to be met. Anthony says they remain in a stalemate with the City.
The mayor stressed that she wanted us to remove a majority of the concrete borders that were not surrounding the immediate precinct, said Anthony.
We were unable to come to an agreement with the mayors aide while she was here, he added. So, were still stuck here at the same position we were.

Elsewhere around CHOP, some of the painted boards that had been put up on barricades was coming down. Anthony said it was to preserve the artwork.

A few dozen tents remained pitched outside of the now-abandoned and boarded up East Precinct. The protests co-op is dwindling in size. A medic station that had been set up at 10th and East Pine has also been removed.
Digging in their heels, protesters and leaders arent sure what to expect next.
I really dont know what to expect from these people, said Anthony. They committed war crimes against us but were not afraid of that.
Among those who remain, infighting still seems to be occurring on a daily basis as some of the leaders dont see eye-to-eye on how to handle things moving forward.

War crimes is mentioned in the article. Apparently one of the Choppers think they have suffered from illegal war tactics used against them. A very rational thought of course. Probably coming from their self appointed constable.
“Why negotiate with anarchists?”
Because she’s unfit to govern and won’t step aside and let someone who can do what’s necessary.
The power and water are city-run utilities, and these cockroaches have the city's permission to occupy the CHOP district. Phones are mostly cellular, and I guess those will continue as long as the bills are paid.
There are business rents coming due soon and that will be a problem for some.
Negotiate? Tell them everyone not out immediately will face federal charges
