I think in some cases, it is not accurate to say that “this college has a football team”.
It may be more accurate to say “this football team has a college”.

Famous quote by an OU president.
I want to build a university the football team can be proud of

"Football program generated $175.5 million in 2015-2016 fiscal year" That's a lot of money for a state that has a population that is less than metropolitan Houston, Texas.

These small sized SEC towns will take a serious hit without football crowds to be sure, but I honestly think Tuscaloosa will be able to withstand the hit far better than other similar cities.
As Groucho said, they can always fall back on elephant hunting.

Funny thing though was that Saban was blasting Tide fans for lack of attendance, because basically Bama fans don’t care much for the regular season, since they assume they’ll win all those games anyway.

The NFL is going out its way to sabotage itself, and I suspect will become a far less lucrative business over the next 10-20 years.
Their farm teams will also suffer.

"Funny thing though was that Saban was blasting Tide fans for lack of attendance, because basically Bama fans dont care much for the regular season, since they assume theyll win all those games anyway" I thought that was about attendance from the 'reserved tickets' student section.(Or, something related to that.(?))

They should have a policy of “business as usual”. It people want to come they will. If people are afraid of the chinese death virus, they won’t. Toughen up.

Half-black Pat Mahomes is woke now - LeBron congratulated him on Twitter.
I might be done. I lived long enough to see a Chiefs SB.

The mayor could work with the governor to end the charade.
That would mean they both have to give up being control freaks, so it wont happen.
