Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis hit back Saturday at New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo over a possible coronavirus quarantine for visitors, asking that he “not quarantine any Floridians in nursing homes.”
In a rare Saturday news conference, DeSantis, a Republican, made reference to a now-adjusted policy that Cuomo, a Democrat, had pushed, which allowed nursing homes to admit COVID-19 patients despite how vulnerable the elderly population has been to the virus. DeSantis was an outspoken critic of the decision: in his state, nursing homes refused to admit residents who had tested positive.

IDK, but I sure know an awful lot of Upstate folks who are and are NOT Jewish.

Depends on the area of FL, I think. And I think many of them vote twice.
If the Floridians don’t qualify to be put in a nursing home in New York, Cuomo doesn’t want them. He can’t get Fed reimbursement money unless they go to the nursing home.
That would not surprise me in the least.

“Allowed”? Nursing homes were required to admit them.

Why would any Floridians want to go to NY when it’s such a s—t show? All the traffic is the other way.

That last headline puts it mildly.
Summer and fall are actually very nice here.
Summer is warm and the produce in the fall, in Upstate at least, is fantastic.
Upstate NY has tons of fruit orchards, primarily apple, lots of vineyards and wine trails, lots of dairy, and just a generally abundant agriculture, lots of history, and lots of lakes and camping.
And when the leaves turn in the fall, many areas are breathtaking.
NY has a lot going for it in many respects, but the government is KILLING the state. That’s why so many have their primary residence outside the state and just own a home here for the nice seasons.
Cuz it’s usually cooler up here in the summer. Many also have property, family, friends.
When the real facts surrounding COVID 19!and NYS get out, the only place Prince Andrew Of Nipple Hardware will be is in custody. God willing. #NewYorkStateofAnarchy

BTW, Cuomo also allowed positive staffers to continue working at nursing homes, until he “adjusted” that policy, too, last month.
I have fond memories of the apple orchards, swimming in Ricket’s Glenn cold rivers and Lake George with our church youth group camping out. Lots of nice areas.
