PepsiCo. Inc.’s business that sells Aunt Jemima products said it would retire the brand because of its origins in racist imagery of black people, the latest example of how companies are trying to grapple with racial disparities following the killing of George Floyd.
PepisCo’s packaged-foods unit said Wednesday it would remove imagery of the black woman from the Aunt Jemima brand’s pancake mixes, syrups and other products, and change its name. The company didn’t disclose the new name.

I’m not offended by the Quaker man on Quaker Oats, or the little Debbie girl. Or that ugly sketch of Paul Newman. Or the abuelita on cinnamon hot chocolate. I fail to see why blacks are offended by Aunt Jemima.
Because they are being brow-beat (AKA, bullied) by some septuagenarian, white, politically correct, politicians.

It would be interesting to see how ^international^ sales of “Aunt Jemima Pancake Mix” and “AJ-syrup” perform and whether there are any complaints from their foreign customers about the depictions on their packaging?

A dozen years ago, I went back to old school shaving. I use mug and brush to lather for shaving with safety razor. No razor burn like with over priced disposable razors.
Anyway, for a mug, I use an old SAMBOS coffee mug that I found at a garage sale and I love the comments I get when guests use the bathroom at the house. Got it for the size as it fits shaving soap puck and nostalgia.

They can put my pic on the syrup! Instead of Aunt Jemima it can be Granny "Neighbor!" I feel I may have earned this after all the pancakes I've made for 5 kids, 24 grandkids and now a greatgrandkid just learning to eat. I feel entitled! Are old white women allowed to be entitled?
