There is some discussion about the wording in the decision. “For now” is used in some of the verbiage. It’s not good in my opinion, but I’m hearing it could be worse.
I think Trump should pull a Jackson and tell the Supreme Court they can enforce it.
“John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it.”
Except the Dems would use that as an excuse to impeach him again, so he likely won’t
Here’s the stick-in-the-eye.
Obamacare was reviewed by SCOTUS and ruled as a TAX. The court fixed it for Obama.
This time, just a “you did it wrong.”
There was no “here’s how to fix it so it will pass through here correctly”.
I have repeatedly thought that in his second term DJT will have to defy activist judge court orders including SCOTUS - much like Andrew Jackson. If the Dems win the House they will undoubtedly impeach Prez Trump over and over again. Trump can wear it as his historical badge of courage and honor.
In the SCOTUS decision re: DACA, the justices effectively ruled that Prez 0bama can (unconstitutionally) pass legislation which Prez Trump subsequently does not have the power to override. We have lost SCOTUS now - for whatever reason - and POTUS will have to let reason and common sense (precedent) carry the day -- for the American people!
