How effective are they when so many people are wearing masks, especially protesters, due to the big bad virus?
There have been some posters here on FR who have speculated that part of the mask push was to help the good guys “train” technology better to identify people who are wearing masks in anticipation for large scale rioting in which the criminal rioters would naturally wear masks, virus or not.
After the riots at Trump rallies started to really turn people off and increase support for Trump, the dems turned off the riots like a water faucet, one minute it’s running full blast, the next minute shut off. Gone were the hoards of minority rioters, replaced by small bands of peaceful whites holding signs. I suspect at the various democrat meetings they figured out that most people are turned off by rioting, looting, and arson. Word was passed down the chain of command to the dirtbags on the street. They know that the rioters can be called back at any time, because the paymasters are still sitting on fat wallets.
Our local paper had a picture the day after the looting of ~100 or so people standing in the parking lot of a shoe store watching it being looted. From what I can tell, they were mostly young people of varying ethnicities. It was bizarre. Most of the people arrested when the looting stopped were Amish.
The rioting and destruction are largely over.
The MO of agitators and provocateurs is surprise; hit and run.
People are now aware of their methods and are looking for the troublemakers so they're going to stop their attacks and disappear until next time. The protests will continue for awhile and they will be largely 'peaceful' in that there will be marches and shouting but little destruction.
The key to ending this once and for all is to investigate and expose how these groups are organized. Saying they're organized by Facebook and Twitter doesn't answer the question. WHO is running the Facebook and Twitter accounts? WHO are the people following these Facebook and Twitter accounts?
Expose the network, prosecute, and the riots will end.
The problem is the DOJ doesn't seem interested in investigating who are the people inciting the violence.
I agree and that's what needs to be exposed.
WHO is giving the orders? WHAT is the chain of command? HOW are they organizing? HOW are the orders being spread?
People keep saying 'Facebook and Twitter' but that doesn't tell us WHO is running the Facebook and Twitter accounts.
The feds arrested a person for inciting a riot via social media in our community. The suspect fled out of state and was rounded up by the US Marshall's Office. The statement of offense was signed by an FBI agent from the terrorism unit.

I look at this killing a little more open minded than some.
I have heard reports that this cop worked at the same place as Floyd for years, and that it was a security detail at some club. I’ve also heard the club had some questionable practices....perhaps drugs, some other dirty dealings....
When I look at this, I see Floyd as being targeting by the cop, with the other 3 cops assisting in the kill. I have to wonder if the two cops who initially answered the call were on the lookout for something involving Floyd (a bad actor, regardless of his recent sainthood) so that they could call in Chauvin to handle the dirty work....that way he could kill the guy under the police altercation scenario.
Chauvin definitely was determined that this guy was going to die. The question is, why.
Maybe they couldn’t find anyone dumb enough to lead the charge on the White House ramparts when they know there are machine guns and snipers on the roof.

Most local leaders got disappeared after injuring ss officers last week.
I suspect most of this is for minor infractions. It seems to me a general go fund me account would need proven reserves before a judge would accept the release of the accused. There are no celebrities coming to the defense of central Illinois looters that have bail set at $10K to $100K...

Trump should take credit for the riots ending. His threat of the Insurrection Act and federal troops sure put an end to it.

I suspect bail was revoked after the FBI retrieved damaging communications between the 2. This likely wasn't an impulse crime...
