It's odd there weren't reports of riots, looting, and violence Saturday night

It's almost as if someone issued a stand-down order to agitators and provocateurs.

Our county isn’t catch and release. We only had one night of looting.

“Danger close. It’s my call ...”

I wonder is they had a few beehive rounds ready.

Gee, what happened?

According to FR’s pearl clutching society, the White House was scheduled to be burned to the ground.

“Our county isn’t catch and release. We only had one night of looting.”

In Mobile, Al., they tried to riot one night and the police pretty much shut them down. They tried to get onto I 10 and got shut down again. Yesterday it looked like they had maybe 30 or 40 people who appeared to be some black people, a disproportionate number of fat white women, and a scattering of people who, if they weren’t flaming homosexuals, were missing a damn good opportunity. This is all based on local news accounts so take with a grain of salt.

No, that was in reference to his trip to Maine a couple of days ago.

My theory is that after a week of shocking the public psyche with unthinkable violence and mayhem, the plan is to stop for a period to give people a sense of relief. I think this is intended to manipulate the public into supporting “the cause”,

I agree it looks like a strategy. Calm after the crisis.

The question is why did it all collectively stop everywhere at the same time.

To me it appears either a group like Antifa told their members to stop or someone told Antifa to stop.

What it looks like to me is there is there is an organized network that has the power to start and stop these events.

What is that network? How are they spreading the word? If they're using Twitter or Facebook or private communications they are leaving evidence of their organization and it should be simple to expose who is coordinating these events.

The DOJ can find every 'right-wing extremist' posting comments on the internet but they can't find a single member of Antifa organizing violence.

Why?

It is clear someone pulled the plug. The whos and why we have no idea.

It wasn’t fear of the system, that is for sure.

The protests in DC were a dud.

"I think once AG Barr announced the FBI and DoJ know who has been funding the riots, the people behind them are headed for the shadows in hopes they can’t be found. Might be too late for most of them."

Well, okay. Most of us around here are willing to take your word for it, but of course the next thing will be arrests of not only thugs and punks for violent crimes, which could number literally into the thousands, but also some very high profile arrests of people whose names we'd recognize.

Arrests for terrorism, criminal conspiracy, fraud, money laundering, racketeering, and all kinds of other stuff.

DC, Minneapolis, NYC, LA, Silicon Valley, Atlanta, Hollywood, and many other places, some outside the US.

"We're waiting." :)

Remember the NSA? Betcha those boys and girls could locate the antifa funding sources. Since the FBI is a worthless organization, send in USMarshals for the arrests.

Why can the DOJ find any and every 'right-wing extremist planning violence' and yet they can't find a single left-wing extremist group promoting, organizing, and inciting violence?

That's just it. It should be simple to track down the people organizing the violence via Facebook, Twitter, websites, email, instant messaging and yet the DOJ can't find (or won't find) the people making the plans and giving the marching orders.

The DOJ is being run by the Southern Poverty Law Center. The DOJ is getting their definition of 'hate groups' from the SPLC. The DOJ is getting their intelligence from the SPLC who only track 'right-wing extremists'.

It's time to get the SPLC out of law enforcement.

The DOJ will never investigate left-wing groups as long as the SPLC is telling them who to investigate.

My theory is that after a week of shocking the public psyche with unthinkable violence and mayhem, the plan is to stop for a period to give people a sense of relief. I think this is intended to manipulate the public into supporting “the cause”, like victims of Stockholm syndrome. Especially because we’ve been fed this false narrative of the “peaceful protesters” and the “violent outsiders”, these pauses may be intended to build sympathy for the “protesters” whose cause, don’t you know, has just been falsely tarnished by these violent strangers that “have nothing to do with them.”

A very interesting theory...

My area has been “quiet” for last several days as well...Los Angeles County...No report of looting...

On Friday, there was some protest in Lakewood, California...It started out OK...But, later, some protesters wanted to pick a fight with LA County Sheriff Deputies...
Nonlethal options had to be used...

https://ktla.com/news/local-news/deputies-deploy-pepper-ball-rounds-smoke-as-lakewood-protest-ends-in-very-ugly-way/

I have not heard of any other case, in LA County, where some protesters tried to pick a fight with officers...I am talking about last few days...

Hoover, AL has had some protests, but the cops shut down lawbreakers fast. They are polite and professional, lay out the ground rules, give a warning. and if that line gets crossed, bam cuffed and stuffed. I live across the street from city hall, driven by during the protests, they seem to be mostly caucasian, but most of all they dont get violent. despite our local agitator Carlos, who was going to “burn it diiiine” on Tuesday.

You mean the racial blackmail riots are over? Awww, too bad.

They achieved one of their purposes which is to devastate black areas of cities and recreate the shopping 'deserts' that can be blamed on racism, in hopes that this will keep the slaves on the liberal plantation this election. The long term consequences of this can be dealt with later, or more likely, ignored.

What are they protesting now? Aren’t the killer cops going to face the music? Are they going to protest until there is not a drop of racism left in the world? Good luck. Humans always have been and always will be human....some very good, some very bad, and most in between.

Good points...

My local TV news does some segments showing how nice some protesters are...I change the channel...I guess I am really getting tired of this protest business...

I am looking forward to having Mr. Floyd buried on Tuesday...

I just hope that would make many people realize that it is time to go back to dealing with their own problems...Instead of being out there, with a sign, blocking traffic to celebrate some guy who had a very troubled life...

Last night was a head fake.

I think they are reorganizing and rearming.

The rioters are too amped up to stand down for long.
