Our county isnt catch and release. We only had one night of looting.
In Mobile, Al., they tried to riot one night and the police pretty much shut them down. They tried to get onto I 10 and got shut down again. Yesterday it looked like they had maybe 30 or 40 people who appeared to be some black people, a disproportionate number of fat white women, and a scattering of people who, if they werent flaming homosexuals, were missing a damn good opportunity. This is all based on local news accounts so take with a grain of salt.
Hoover, AL has had some protests, but the cops shut down lawbreakers fast. They are polite and professional, lay out the ground rules, give a warning. and if that line gets crossed, bam cuffed and stuffed. I live across the street from city hall, driven by during the protests, they seem to be mostly caucasian, but most of all they dont get violent. despite our local agitator Carlos, who was going to “burn it diiiine” on Tuesday.
Our local paper had a picture the day after the looting of ~100 or so people standing in the parking lot of a shoe store watching it being looted. From what I can tell, they were mostly young people of varying ethnicities. It was bizarre. Most of the people arrested when the looting stopped were Amish.
