VANITY: Hannity and Levin have been removed from drive-time radio in my area as of today

On my way home tonight I was not able to listen to either Hannity or Levin as I usually do. The local radio monopoly has removed them from drive time and replaced them with a lame local call-in show and placed Hannity and Levin in obscure time slots.
This reeks of political activism to me, removing one of the primary means of uniting conservatives.
It really makes me angry.
Has this happened in anyone else's area?

What is your listening area/station that carried them?

Well they can move Hannity wherever they want, I’d rather listen to static.

My local station bumped Levin to the evening years ago. I listen on his app. When a local station goes to some special programming, I just switch to a different radio stream on the net. So easy.

Stream them from your phone.
I use the TuneIn Radio app (I paid for the ‘pro’ version so I can pause for up to 30 minutes and record).
Now your local radio station will have a lower rating in the Arbitron sweeps.
Win-win for you.

If you don’t mind spending hundreds of dollars on bandwidth a year that’s great.

I don’t like burning money and don’t have a phone contract. I have Tracfone for $100 a year and just enough bandwidth to use GPS when I need it.

Yep, stream it on the phone. I get Rush delayed by four hours. Works out very well.

I believe the original poster's concern wasn't being able to access the content, it is whether there is a coordinated effort to make things difficult for regular folks who are not motivated to hear these kinds of programs. Not everyone who is driving during "drive time" (the bulk of radio ratings) can stream content or will burn data on a cell phone or do anything but scan the radio dial.

>>> The local radio monopoly
You make it sound like that is a bad thing.
From November 2017
“The media ownership regulations of 2017 should match the media marketplace of 2017,” Ajit Pai, the chairman of the FCC. The Republican-led FCC voted along party lines Thursday to do away with longstanding restrictions on media ownership, potentially giving individuals and companies greater dominance over local media markets.

I expect radio to try to silence most conservative voices by election time.
