Look at any post election map of voting results and youll see thats true for the entire country. The Founders missed the mark, perhaps their only failure, in not mandating an electoral college-like institution within state governments. It may have prevented what we see in states like New York and California, where the Leftist urban areas dominate politics.

Many states had some thing like that, e.g. senator or senators per county. However a mid-to early 1960s Supreme Court ruling removed that. Illinois Senator Evert Dirksen earned the effect of said ruling would eventually financially ruin Illinois. He was right and its happening elsewhere.

Each county should get an electoral vote. County lines are fixed and cannot be changed without 2/3 majority vote in BOTH state Houses. Fixed. Next question.
