I'm watching Gov. Walz ('RAT-MN) press conference and the lady doing the sign language is just over the top with her facial expressions and signing motions. I think she is just making stuff up.

I have closed captioning but it’s only for the spoken word. Is there closed captioning for sign language?

Sign language industrial complex. Virtue signaling. Closed captions are part of every television. Why do they need this? Every time I watch it is all I can look at...so distracting.

I know exactly who you are talking about! If I had to read what most of these Signers are saying, just by reading facial expressions alone, it would translate:
“That tastes icky!”
“I feel icky!”
“I think you are icky!”
“That person is silly-beans!”
“I’m going to bonk a kitten noggin!”
“OW! A pineapple is in my pooper!”
The one that Witmer has is scary. Someone posted it looks like she’ll rip somebody’s balls off.
Yes the deaf do use more animation when signing. I have a profoundly deaf son. However, the translators are NOT deaf. They are translating what they HEAR being said. No idea why they are so ridiculously animated.
