I’ll ask my mom-in-law.
Hitler youth member (by force).
Yes, she sits at home with a mask on because the government knows what is best for her.
I find it difficult to NOT reveal to her how the mask is the equivalent of the Juden star.
Sadly, she is also a heavy user of Godwin’s Rule.
Don’t ask....
I have a young relative (college) who is pretty ignorant about stuff. I try to enlighten her a little but she gets upset easily so I don’t push it (peace in the family).
I recently told my wife — “If the government told her that we needed to round up the Jews and put them in camp”, she’d say, “I have no idea what a Jew is, but if you say so, I’m all for it!”
One of my big hopes is that there will be a Great Awakening, eyes will be opened, and some of these ignorant people will start understanding the world better. I try to do my part, but I’m a cranky old man and no one listens to me.
Now you know freeQs will ask Cletus.
So here, is this what you meant?
Godwin’s law (or Godwin’s rule of Hitler analogies) is an Internet adage asserting that “as an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1”. That is, if an online discussion (regardless of topic or scope) goes on long enough, sooner or later someone will compare someone or something to Adolf Hitler or his deeds, the point at which effectively the discussion or thread often ends.
